How to set up your email on your Windows 8.x device
 
Step 1: Apps, Settings
On Start, slide left to access the App list, find and tap Settings.  
Step 2: Email+Accounts
Tap Email+Accounts from under the System heading.  
Step 3: Add Account
Tap Add an Account. 
Step 4: Advanced Setup
Tap Advanced Setup to start setup. 
Step 5: Enter Email
Enter your Exede email address or alias (e.g.@exede.net) to be displayed on your outgoing emails and email password. 
Step 6: Internet Email
Tap Internet email. 
Step 7: Enter Information
Enter:
-Account name: Name to describe mailbox settings
-Your name: Name to be displayed on your outgoing emails
-Incoming email server: mail.exede.net
-Account type: IMAP4
-Username: Your @exede.net email address (e.g. username@exede.net)
-Password: Your email password.
-Outgoing (SMTP) email server: smtp.exede.net

Note: If you are using a WildBlue email address, you will enter your email as username@wildblue.net and replace all mail.exede.net and smtp.exede.net server names with mail.wildblue.net or smtp.wildblue.net.

 
 
Step 8: Advanced Settings
Tap Advanced Settings and make sure that all four check boxes are checked:
-Outgoing server requires authentication
-Use the same username and password for sending email
-Require SSL for incoming email
-Require SSL for outgoing email

 
 
Step 9: Sign In 
Tap Sign In to save settings and begin downloading email
